Energy Aware Solutions is a Barcelona-born company (a BSC spin-off) addressing one of HPC's most pressing challenges: extracting maximum results from every watt consumed. Its Energy Aware Runtime (EAR) software automatically measures job power and performance metrics and optimises node settings for efficiency — typically saving around 10% of energy consumption with no user intervention.

• EAR's differentiation is that it optimises dynamically and transparently. Integrated with the workload manager (notably SLURM), EAR profiles each running application and adjusts CPU/GPU frequencies and power settings in real time to the workload's actual characteristics.
• EAR provides comprehensive power/energy accounting, monitoring, and control at job, user, and cluster level, giving operators the data to enforce energy policies, implement power capping, and demonstrate eco-responsibility. Users simply run jobs as normal.
• EAR's telemetry extends visibility across the cluster's energy behaviour, informing holistic facility optimisation that includes storage node power profiles.
• EAR's GPU support brings the same measure-and-optimise discipline to AI infrastructure, while its accounting supports the energy-reporting requirements increasingly attached to AI (including EU regulatory directions)
