To continue supporting world-class research, the University of Nottingham collaborated with OCF and Lenovo to refresh its HPC facility with Lenovo ThinkSystem and NVIDIA accelerated computing technology. The new cluster has 4x more compute power, GPU acceleration and supports ambitious research across the University.

Solution
Named Ada, the new GPU-accelerated cluster is based on 80+ Lenovo ThinkSystem servers and features NVIDIA® A100 and H200 GPUs.

Impact
Based on powerful new Lenovo and NVIDIA technology, the Ada cluster offers 4x more compute power than its predecessor, enabling users to perform ever-more complex calculations at higher speed.
